Hello All.

Okay Ok this here is definitely the last A.M.O.P. Mixtape for the year:_2_0_1_7

___= Featuring selections from the albums released this year that thrilled me the most, including the Deluxe Expanded and remastered release of one of Prince’s many masterpieces: Purple Rain. The selection from this reissue is the expanded version (aka the “Hallway Speech” version) of the already gloriously strange Computer Blue, which reveals that it’s original release run time of 3:59 was edited down from a full blown mutation of twelve minutes! This is featured on the stunning second disc, From the Vault & Previously Unreleased. There are three selections from Dylan’s Triplicate, each sequentially representing the three discs that this set is comprised of: ‘Til the Sun Goes DownDevil DollsComin’ Home Late.

Additionally, the  release date of the penultimate track on this mix has nothing to do with 2017, but is featured here for a sense of completion, as, seemingly utilizing synchronicity, this song continually made its existence known throughout the year. As to my mind Water No Get Enemy by Fela Kuti & Africa 70 always seemed to carry a profound message of spiritual acceptance (as opposed to resignation), I’ll take it.

Well Happy New Year to you all and
